About this route
The Great Ocean Road is worth taking slowly, which actually works in your favour when it comes to charging. Around 340 km from Melbourne to Warrnambool, the windy coastal route goes through Torquay, Anglesea, Lorne, and Apollo Bay, all of which have chargers. Most people take two days over it and stop somewhere along the coast for the night, so fitting in a charge is never a problem.
- ✓ Charging in Torquay, Lorne, and Apollo Bay along the way
- ✓ Two days is the natural pace and makes charging easy
- ✓ Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and Cape Otway are the main stops
- ✓ Warrnambool has good charging if you're continuing west
